I am a Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist. Originally from the North of England and after living and working in London for 12 years, I have now made Essex my home where I practice Solution Focused Hypnotherapy with clients based throughout the UK. I have extensive experience of using a range of Solution Focused methods and also, Hypnosis, as a catalyst for positive change. I pride myself in my strong client testimonials and personal recommendations.
“I love to wake in the morning, knowing that today I will be working to help somebody make a positive change to their own life. Or better still, actually change their life”.
Career & Qualifications
I have an Honours Degree in Psychology from the University of Durham, a Masters Degree in Occupational Psychology from the University of Nottingham and the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy which is a high-level qualification only held by approximately 20% of UK Hypnotherapists. I trained at The Clifton Practice, a recognized Centre of Excellence for Hypnotherapy which works in partnership with Bristol University, researching Hypnotherapy as a discipline and as a therapeutic tool.
I also have a post graduate Diploma in Medical Hypnotherapy and Advanced Hypnosis techniques from The Clinical Hypnotherapy School. A qualification held by only a small number of trained Hypnotherapists across the country. I am currently undertaking the Advanced Hypnotherapy Diploma, which is currently the highest level of Hypnotherapy Qualification in the Industry.
In my earlier career, I worked within Human Resources for blue chip organisations and investment banks in central London.
I am a member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapists (AfSFH), a registered member of the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and an Accredited member of The National Board for Modern Psychotherapy (NBfMP). I am fully registered and insured to work with both adults and children
Research & Development
Unlike most Therapists, I monitor the progress of my client treatment programmes to ensure I continue to provide the best possible interventions and success. In addition, I regularly attend development courses to ensure my skills and knowledge remain up to date with advances in Neuroscience and Psychology. Finally, I am pleased to be able to contribute to the ongoing development of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy as a profession by being a member of the national Clinical Outcomes Research Programme.
